On a very hot late spring day, those intrepid Brue Valley Rotarians were out in force parking cars and making and selling Pimms and Cider.
Whilst those running thought they had worked hard, we worked even harder trying to convince them they had had it easy…but still deserved a well earned Pimms or Cider to mark the completion of their epic adventure.
So impressive was the selling, we ran out of Pimms before 2pm!
As ever with Brue Valley Rotary, every event is a learning opportunity. This time, we were instructed in the dark art of making the perfect jug of Pimms using a technique reminiscent of the “where’s the lady” con using three cups. Well done Melanie: it worked!
As Victoria from St Margaret’s quite rightly pointed out at the end: “you were magnificent” as we handed over the £400+ takings from the day.
Well done one and all!
