Brue Valley meets Police Horses

Last night Brue Valley Rotary Club, at the invitation of Rotarian Chief Inspector John Holt, visited the Avon & Somerset Police Mounted Section at their Operational Training Centre in Clevedon.  After a brief overview of the activities carried out by the section, which has only 12 bay geldings (and their police riders) to do the work, we were given a demonstration of their training methods and capabilities.  The trust and respect was very obvious between horse and rider – this is not just another job……………..     Many thanks to John and his staff for giving up their very valuable time.
