Visit to the Bere Cider Company

The first outing of the new Rotary year took place on 18 July 2019 with a trip to the Bere Cider Company near Langport.

The first challenge, at least for some of our members, was to find the farm with various SatNav being blamed along the way.

Once we were all there, we were treated to a passionate and personal explanation of how a hobby turned into a business for Jim and Mary Lockyer, a tour of the facility before a hearty ploughman’s meal was enjoyed.

Grateful thanks to Jim and Mary for looking after us so well.
